Thanks to the functional utility (electricity, telephone, gas and water) distribution network, the large areas adjoining the permanent pavilions, comprising the outdoor exhibition area, are structurally suitable for extending the exhibition area which thus amounts to 49,000 square metres. This is generally achieved by installing prefab metal or tensile-structure pavilions.
